1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Checker's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you must not use our services.

2. Service Description

Checker provides a data validation platform for construction information managers to verify compliance with ISO 19650 standards and other requirements before client delivery.

3. User Accounts

  • You must register for an account to use our services
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information

4. Data Handling

File Upload and Storage

  • Files you upload are temporarily stored in our Amazon S3 storage (EU-West-2 region, London)
  • Your files are processed solely for validation purposes according to your selected specifications
  • All file processing occurs within our secure environment

Data Retention

  • All uploaded files and generated validation reports are automatically deleted after 24 hours
  • After this period, data is completely removed from our systems and cannot be recovered

Data Access

  • Your uploaded files and validation reports are accessible only to you via secure, unique links
  • Our system administrators may access files only for troubleshooting purposes, if explicitly requested by you
  • We do not access, analyze, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the validation service

Data Transfer

  • All data transfers between your browser and our servers are encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols

5. User Responsibilities

  • You retain full ownership of all data uploaded to our service
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and upload any data processed by our service
  • You must not upload sensitive personal data, protected health information, or other regulated data unless our service has been explicitly approved for such use
  • You agree not to use our service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Checker and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws
  • We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our service for its intended purpose

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months

8. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time
  • Any changes will be communicated via our website at least 30 days before taking effect
  • Continued use of our service after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms

9. Termination

  • We may terminate or suspend your account for any reason, including breach of these Terms
  • Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
